The trio of Adrianne Gonzalez, Gabriel Mann, and Kyler England is something of a vocal supergroup and could probably sing the menu at McDonald\u2019s and move an audience to tears. The best thing ever is that their songwriting is as good as their singing and the material on this set equals the voices singing it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"\/\/ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/widgets\/q?_encoding=UTF8&amp;ASIN=B003TWX2KG&amp;Format=_SL250_&amp;ID=AsinImage&amp;MarketPlace=US&amp;ServiceVersion=20070822&amp;WS=1&amp;tag=httpwwwxa0ac2-20&amp;language=en_US\" border=\"0\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=httpwwwxa0ac2-20&amp;language=en_US&amp;l=li3&amp;o=1&amp;a=B003TWX2KG\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/> <strong>Let Loose the Horses<\/strong> has a little more angst and rock and roll to it than the last Rescues record and this makes it more appealing and less deniable. The Rescues make amazing-sounding recordings, so much so that a half-hearted listen might cause the music to be mistaken for beautiful modern fluff. This time out, the writing is less predictable and more artistically confident. It has an emotional and musical edge that holds up to repeated listening and keeps<br \/>\nshowing you more of itself with the passage of time. The title track, \u201cLet Loose the Horses,\u201d builds on a simmering minor overcast day feel that opens up into a killer mid-tempo rock groove.<\/p>\n<p>Each measure shows both detail and humanity that combine brilliantly with the high-level skills this crew brings to the stage. \u201cStay Over\u201d displays eccentric pop\/rock greatness that balances a dissonant guitar riff with sweet summer night melodies. As usual, each song is strong in its own way, so scramble the playlist freely because you\u2019ll not find a cold fish in it.<\/p>\n<p>As a debut album-length release, <strong>Let Loose the Horses<\/strong> is a full-on talent throwdown that clearly demonstrates that The Rescues have come to play. It succeeds on all levels and will find favor with fans who are into transcendent harmonies and polished songwriting. These three musicians pack a lot of power and seem to have a creative future in front of them worth following.
